An Elusive Dream

It is a dream that allows me to reflect on myself

I dreamed of a place that overlooked the ocean.
The place had grass that was greener then emeralds
The dew had a strong yet beautiful aroma.
In the middle was a huge rock

The rock had a flat and smooth surface 
The rock was black as night
There were no signs of imperfections anywhere.
I walked over to the rock and sat down to face the ocean.
The ocean scenery was tranquil
It allowed me to get a sense of what life means to me

I recollected all the bad incidents that have occurred in my life
The past left scars within my soul and heart 
No amount of stitching can repair
The one reoccurring theme to my pain was trusting too much
A weakness no matter who you meet.

As I went down the dark path in my mind
I felt hollow and ashamed
I dig deeper and remembered all the wonderful times
I had and shared with people.
There were defining moments for each person
I was with even if it was for a brief moment.

 Towards my end of memory lane
There was a girl that walked towards me.
She was a sight to see
yet I could not recognize who she was.

Yet I felt like I knew her forever.
She sat next to me
wrapped her arms with my arm
She leaned over and kissed me with a passion

I can only work out in my dreams.
It felt right and she I knew she loved it too.
As I faded into consciousness
she whispered that she will see me when the time is right.
As I awoken I had a smile on my face
 I quietly wished that day would come soon.
