Why Do I Write?

Why do I write?
I write as a way to feel
As I live this life
I feel my life is not real

My writing is like a pinch
On my soul's skin as reassurance
I write because it comes natural
Not many things in my life have come natural
I feel free and in peace within my mind and soul

For a brief time the past that haunts me stays put
As life gets more complicated
writing becomes my sanctuary
Writing gives me purpose

To many writing seems like an arduous task
I am grateful that I can write with emotion
I am also thankful that many people enjoy my work
The longer my passion burns so to will my writing

Good poem you made me wonder why do he write and then i read the whole answer explaining why and you feel at ease when you write and feel comfortable doing what you love and that showes me all. This is a pretty nice poem i would like to see another poem from you in the future.
