True Love

True Love

A Poem by Margaret M.

I want and refuse;
Look, then turn away.
An unbeliever who wishes she had faith.
Looks are deceiving,
Words too mailable,
Deeds can be undone another day.
Too good to be true,
Too perfect to be real.
You don’t exist.
If we met,
As in a fairy tale,
I’d dream a moment then pass on
And you would never see.
Some dreams should never be brought to life,
Because once they touch air
They fall to dust.

Thank you very much! I only started writing poetry a few months ago, so the words mean a lot to me.
