Doomed

Doomed

A Poem by Michael Morris

We didn't ask to be left this way
this is our inheritance, our burden
other peoples rash, inconsiderate nature
made us who we have become
every action affects the future
never changes the past
its the one truth about this world
we were doomed from the start
