Through agedless eyes

I came up with this years ago when i was watching pizza in my microwave, it was rather....inspriing to a childs eye one who was to grown up.

In the eys of a child

the world is but a play

a place to run and hide

and swim and pretend

In the eyes of the adult however

it is cold and critical

the wonderus thigs we saw when we were young

have long ran away

the magic has ever died

the sticks that were swords

the creeks full of lava

and the magic necklases that kept the mmonsters away

have become when weve grown

firewood and raised property value

toped with a neckklase sold to keep the mostorus bills from piling up again

so in our eyes hardened by loss  and reality

so our magic and swords and castles guarded by fire breathing dragons

Die

simply

vansih

gone

the only reminder is the pain

in the hearts of those who grow

the hearts that long for the innocents

of childhood again

and a wish to go back and beilive in wishes coming true.

It's not bad at all. You have hit on some very tangible and poignant facts. As children we think only of what will occupy or enthrall us in the moment, as adults...it is different. perhaps this is necessary for the growth of the human body or mind; and interesting idea. And yes, there is a time when we all wish that we could go back to that "innocent" time...the trick is to never allow yourself to believe that wishes "CAN'T" come true, because they can :)
