A Poem by alltheloveabove

just thoughts.

Would you, love,
be a sheep and face an eternity of safe boredom
or be a wolf -
all the thrill in the world- but alone?

I am already a wolf...
I think I would continue your poem by this one

The plummeting sheep? Little red riding-hood,to be alone, with her?

Well what a question, or invitation? Short, sweet and to the point. You definately get your point across! I like it :)

This brings a quote to mind from the great C.S. Lewis:

"We are born helpless. As soon as we are fully conscious we discover loneliness. We need others physically, emotionally, intellectually: we need them if we are to know anything, even ourselves."

I don't think there is a sense of thrill in being alone, I think that it creates a deeper sense of longing in us. Thought provoking stuff nonetheless, as always!
