Angels gather round on bended knee

Paying homage to the newborn king

In Mary’s arms the baby sleeps

Listening to angelic voices sing

 

From His Father’s love he comes

To wipe away all your tears

This tiny babe is man’s salvation

All down through the many years

 

We come to earth to stand our guard

To keep him safe, we spread our wings

Surround the babe with our love

Sending warning through the three kings

 

Praise and honor, Lord we sing

His sacred heart we adore

He’ll grow strong in His Father’s love

And come knocking on your heart’s door

 

All God’s children hearken to His voice

Accept God’s amazing Christmas gift to you

On this glorious first Christmas day

God’s love is faithful and true

 

Angels gathered on bended knee

On that first Christmas day

To spread the news to one and all

Singing softly as they pray
