Agony in My Veins like Fire

Agony in My Veins like Fire

A Poem by Deepshikha
"

Back to the old cycles. It's just one long, annoying, emotional roller-coaster.

"
I'm determined not to look your way,
Even if the stars rain down upon us;
And I'm not going to oblige you with a smile,
Not even if you stand on one knee and beg.

You can look at me all you want,
You can't entice me with your gaze;
Even when agony runs in my veins like fire,
You can't take me in, I won't oblige.

I might be a fool, but I see no difference,
Both of us, caught in my thoughts;
Either way, I'm up high in the clouds,
And right now, I'm more free than ever.
