White Wings

White Wings

A Poem by Mika Haruna

to the broken white wings
you float ever so lightly
in heavens abyss

to the girls who stole their hearts
and to the men who sing
let the light from above shine upon you
as mortals play their strings

to the broken white wings
how ever can you fly?
your feathers torn and your fragile bones
it still amazes me

This poem has a softness, but it definitely needs some kind of bite I think. Something to make this work stand out. Great writers can b***h-slap with a feather. Can you?

I'm not sure as the the exact symbolism, but it seems easy to insert your own interpretations into this poem. Enjoyed the read.

Perfect. I absolutely love it. Best part for me was the last part. Sometimes I wonder how people can stand back up when they're knocked down and the last part describes it exactly.

Beautiful poem!

Like what Imagination-mage said, "Reminds me of birds.". It truly does.

I loved it!

A beautiful poem. A little sad in the last stanza, but it just adds up to the epicness! :)
