four years

A small look into mental and emotional abuse I fell victim to and endured until I came to my senses. This is my first poem in six years. Hope it's not too bad. :)

Red hair, blue eyes creature,
You came to me with gentle eyes.
To my surprise that they hide,
A true monster on the inside.
Blind to see,
Was a love unbeknownst to me.
Like a siren,
I still couldn't see it all.
I was merely a doll at your beckoning call.
Red scaled, blue eyes dragon,
Why must you scream & blaze on?
Three months was all it took.
Three months and I was hooked.
Woe is me?
No. It was plain to see.
It was the stranger before me,
Bullhooks and whips within his words.
How absurd.
Within a spiral,
Our story went viral.
The seed was feeding,
Needing into the blackness.
Fact is,
I needed to redact this.
