The Light Side of the Moon

please let me explain

before these thoughts

become lost inside the

unsentimental gulps of

sun, and Atlas and his

small blue sunday ball

become little more than

burnt up fuel unseen

inside

this womb of a wordless

impersonal universe that

does not care about me

and you,

or rent that may be late,

and starving limbs

of empty hands extended

in red-alert-stop-signs

toward the selfish, wolfish

want of violent state

to pitter-patter down busy

streets with cruel claws

on unthinking ferocious

men’s feet, rounding up poor

men, and women,

jew and non-jew,

and neo-jew -

don’t let them!

and continuing on -

our overdue lovebird hearts

singing with anguished

songs in chorus of revolution

red, distanced by water, wolves,

land, and time . . .

 

 

oh how they howl in political packs

down the low-road,

underneath

the toenail-clipped-scissored

light

 

 

of moon -

 

 

 

please let me explain,
