Desert Drearies

Desert Drearies

A Poem by Ariana Omnomnom

Dancing mosquitoes
Short banditos
Dragonflies zip by
Teeny tip toes
Brooding black crows
In the distance cicadas cry
Slipping clouds into the sky

Twin pillars jumping round
But they never make a sound
Figurines and statutes scream
Just to end the midnight's dream

The sunset haze
Till the end of my days
Never did I think
More than more than just a phase
Less than lesser known fillets
Pressed against the summer sink
Leaning on the counter, drink

Silver billows streaming down
Turn upside that upset frown
Trying just to see the sun
But never meeting hour one

Rest your head upon the bed
There's more than that your girlfriend said
Sleeping on the left-side-right
You kissed her on her small forhead
Heavy feet and mind of lead
You look at her for the sight
Close your kids and say goodnight
