Bells

Bells

A Poem by Mason Watts
"

this is from a writing prompt I did today.

"

The ringing of the bells

Bells, bells, bells, bells,

Does it a great story tell

With the moaning and groaning of the bells

The bells, bells, bells, bells.

The bells are ring, ring, ringing

And ring, ring, ringing.

To a little song they are singing

As they begin ring, ring, ringing

Begin ring, ring, ringing.

To the moaning and groaning of the bells,

The bells, bells, bells

The bells in the tower

Ringing and ringing and ringing and ringing

Marking the death of another

With the toll of the bells, bells

The bells, bells, bells.

Author's Note

Mason Watts
the line that says "the moaning and groaning of the bells" is from a poem called the Bells by Edgar allan Poe. The prompt was to write a poem using a line in your poem from another poem. so here it is.
