Respect who you love!

Because you don’t know how long they will be around.

The “I love you’s” and the “you mean the world”

The “you make me twirl” the “you make my fly”

The “you’re the best guy” the “you’re there for me when I cry”

The “you never lie” the “you’re the best” the “closest to my chest”

The “only one” the “you’re fun” the “I’ll never leave you”

The “you’re so interesting” the “I can’t wait to die old with you”

The “we will be in heaven together” the “I miss you”

The “you’re so sexy” the “goodnight I love you babe”

The “good morning” the “I love your family”

The “I love your mom” the “I love your dad”

The “I love your little brother”

The “I can’t wait to see you”…

The “I love you’s” became “I hate you’s”

The “you mean the world” became “you’re a piece of s**t”

The “you make me twirl” became “you make me sick”

The “you make me fly” became “you make me cry”

The “You’re the best guy” became “you’re the same”

The “you’re there for me when I cry” became “you’re never there for me”

The “ you never lie” became “you’re lying”

The “you’re the best” became “you’re the worst”

The “Closest to my chest” became “get off my breast”

The “only one” became “I’ll find another”

The “you’re fun” became “you’re boring”

The “I’ll never leave you” became “I want to breakup”

The “you’re so interesting” became “there isn’t anything more to know”

The “I cant wait to die old with you” became “I hope you die”

The “we will live in heaven together” became “I hope you burn in hell”

The “I miss you” became “I’m busy”

The “you’re so sexy” became “I’m not in the mood”

The “goodnight babe” became “K, night”

The “Good morning” became nothing I always text first

The “I love your family” became “your piece of s**t family”

The “I love your mom” became “she’s a b***h”

The “I love your dad” became “he is a piece of s**t and I hope he burns in hell too”

The “I love your little brother” became “why can’t he just go away”

The “I cant wait to see you” became,

“I just want someone else”

I think this is a powerful and true piece of poetry. I felt it shows two main traits, that love can easily turn into another emotion so intensely the juxtaposition becomes immense, and with regards with the latter half of your poem, I also hate the way the love has been taken out of life and language. An inspired and excellent poem.

honest writing- it's what happens in a relationship that is not taken care of. Funny, when cars break down, we fix them, we do lots of preventive maintenance so that problems will be minimal. Same goes for lawn mowers, heating systems, etc. It's a damned shame we tend to value our relationships so minimally. We could learn lots from how we care for lawn mowers.

yes it is though for honesty's sake, I would put a warning on this piece just because of the c-word. I don't want something like this taken down because someone got offended. It's very honest and to the point, something I love about poetry. Good luck presenting this, and thanks for sharing and have a great day.
