Jaded by Love

Jaded by Love

A Poem by JanBlake

Every Man that I see

I avoid like the plague

My heart cannot take

All the pass & fade

It hurts too much to think of the past

Failed relationships, all seemed so fast

Never last, all a blast from the past

Now I walk through life avoiding glances

& stares

Not wanting anyone to look in my soul

So cold & distant from the opposite sex

Trying to avoid what may be next

Love is not supposed to hurt

It's supposed to uplift and relieve

To be worn on the sleeve

For the world to see

So as time moves on I continue to pray

That all this hurt and pain

will some how fade away

And I will meet him, whoever he is

and begin to heal.
