Don't go knocking on my door

Just something I really can't stand that people do! I hope you enjoy!!

Why do people like to come up to my door?

I don't want what your selling

I don't want to join your religion 

I don't even want to know about the end

I just want you people to leave me alone

If I wanted you to come to my door I will put a sign

"Please come up to my door for a good reason,

Otherwise, please get a life"

Whatever you have to say I am sure is important

However it is not to important enough for me to know

Unless you are God or a police officer, government man or women

Or someone of greater status.

My door does not have a welcome sign 

My door does not invite you to knock on it 

I am trying to watch Investigation Discovery

So if you dont want to be on that show dont knock on my door

This concludes my little rave and rant 

This is just something I CANNOT stand 

I do hope you understand 

So don't knock on my door again!

This is so true lol! One thing though: the end of the third stanza could be rewritten to read : "unless you are a man or a woman of greater status."

Phone calls are my problem. People calling at 7am and 8pm asking you to buy things we do not need. I like the directness of the poem. Good to be left alone by people who have no business near us. Thank you for the excellent poem.

Nice rant here :) and yeah, people who randomly go door to door trying to sell things are annoying. Our family usually just doesn't answer the door, or we fetch my dad and he sometimes gives them a curse here and there and sends them on their way.

Boy: "Hey, is anyone in there ?"
Girl: "Go away ! I don't want what you have !"
Boy: *shrugs* "Huh, I guess she doesn't want her Pizza Delivery after all. Ok, let's drive back to the restaurant then." :)

Lol this is so true! I hate solicitors. And especially the ones on the phone that call you back a million times after you clearly told them 'NO!!!'
