Your Last breath

Your Last breath

A Poem by MandaBear
"

My cat passed away in my arms and this is how I felt.

"
Struggling for your last breath
Soon the darkness will come
Forever in the dark abyss
Leaving only your body behind

A trail of tears begin to flow
An uncontrollable feeling of loss
Hopelessness and sadness all around
Where does death end and life begin?

Struggling for your last breath
Holding you in my arms
As you sleep your eternal sleep
Off to the land of the light

Your body buried
Your mind gone
Your soul free
Your memory saved

I appreciate your heartfelt sentiments here the last 4 lines I find of peculiar value as they mark the finality of life in a very fitting way
