THE STARRY NIGHT

If only I could stay here and observe the sight

Gazing towards the starry night

As the surrounding silence chaperons the disputed mind

The mind which is entangling itself in the world of romantic cliches

A world where I am not sitting alone under the pool of stars

With the frivolous wind pumping the endorphin rush

And maybe....maybe this is why the heart skips a beat as the earth stands still

For my heart loves to escape the reality of life
