To An Honor Student Lover

To An Honor Student Lover

A Poem by Night Edge
"

Never date a smart person. They're a******s when it comes to grades.

"
Your genius and your demons
Are tearing me apart
I cannot stop them
They reach farther then the stars I saw
To the galaxies beyond
Dark matter floats around their claws
And when they look back to take me with them
I am gone
They cannot help me
Too far into the stratosphere
To breath my lesser air
To touch my lesser skin

I will not claim that I am drowning
Nor that my soul suffers
I don’t want the pity of your Lucifer
Your Adremalech
Your Einstein mind
I don’t want to hold you back
While you keep on walking and talking
To people that matter
I’ll sit here with the laptop
Putting my thoughts into pixels and feelings
Your demons shall see them
But whether they feed on them
Is something different entirely

I liked your introduction to this laid back super hero poem! lol I doubt you could prevent a clever dick dating another clever dickette though...putting your thoughts into pixels will help those suppressed feeling escape the barren realms of your tortured soul.

Great poem, very deep, as soul searching tends to be.

I rate this poem 100% don't be fooled by the dodgy stats, they lie.

Smiling at you

Tai, wishing you whole

Tai

Hope that helps.
