Unhappy Lover

Unhappy Lover

A Poem by Nina Frank
"

Assuming you know the feeling of not being loved in return, no detailed description is necessary. ;)

"
Speak to me, oh,
tell what you mean,
what do you see
looking at me?

Stare in my eyes,
what's in the blue?
Are they an ocean
hard to swim through?

Deep or shallow,
the sound of my voice.
Boy promise me,
I'm your only choice.

Can you imagine,
to hear me cry?
Would you wipe,
tears off my eye?

Hey, look up,
you see the blue?
Will you ever
crave for that view?

Speak to me, oh,
tell what you mean,
or will you always
desire the green?

One sided affections are never any fun. Been there, experienced that and moved on. This piece inparticular speaks to me of the voice of one who might be the 3rd girl out, where there is another the boy is looking at. And no matter how much the blue eyed girl proves her love to the boy...the green eyed one keeps getting his attention. I like your rhyme and flow of this piece. Keep up the good ink!

Great Ink!
