This is a great bittersweet story. I feel we all know this pain, but it's rare to find the solace and comfort in the hopes of seeing this missing soul again, but when it's accomplished it is blissful. If I had to point one concern, "But I do not leave with wrath" seems a bit out of place. All of the other lines are powerfully sympathetic, but this line seems somewhat mundane. Otherwise, I really like it as is.

You're welcome! It was awful for me when you moved!! I had to go to Wyoming the day you left and I did NOT want to go, but I had to. I'm pretty sure I cried a lot.

Nope. Never. I've only been to Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, and Arizona.
