Someday You Will See My Pain

I am pushing myself over the edge

again.

I am watching him as he breaks and unzips

himself again.

I wish I could have helped them.

I really wanted to.

I wish I could have cured the problems

with a kiss.

But now there is nothing left.

Just a rock saying how long it lasted. 

He told me that someday I will understand.

I told him that someday he will feel my pain.

I wanted to kiss the problems away.

He wouldn't let me.

He just let me watched as he faded away.

I love you, please, just stay for another day.

He said everyone dies but we all don't go

to a better place.

Please stay for another minute or two.

Please stay so you can feel my pain.

Please stay again...

I've felt something like this helplessness before,. I'm not trying to advertise or anything, but if you've read my poem Time Is All I Ask For, you can kind of see how I relate to this. Both pieces are asking somebody to stay, whether it's for our own good or the other person's.
