Amongst the Crowd

Amongst the Crowd

A Poem by Unstable Wings
"

An old piece I wrote a while ago.

"
These streets are filled with anguished faces. I feel like I am the  hollow man. These laces, have been frayed too long to hold my heart any longer.
I thought they were right when they told me how "smart" I was, because it seemed I was the only one who had learned not to care. I know I said I didn't care, but I still shed tears. I guess all my fears are coming true, I'm no different from you. My emotions have returned.
These are the gallows of the innocent, misguided and misjudged.
These streets are filled with anguished faces, mine somewhere amongst the crowd, near impossible to spot one in a million. I am not the hollow man I wish to be, but another heart turned cold by our surroundings.
THE REST IS UNFINISHED. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Author's Note

Unstable Wings
I originally wrote this a few years back, but when I found a box of old lyrics, this was the only one I thought to be decent. I revised it a bit, and decided it wasn't finished. But what do you guys think?

I'm an open minded high-school kid with a rather depressing past. I like to write about it when I'm sad or angry. A lot of times I turn my writings into songs. The deeper meanings are usually only sig.. more..
