I bought her a box of chocolates.

Not for the sake of showing her just how much I love her.

She already knew that.

Nor was it for a gift in return.

For she is unable to do that for me.

I bought her a box of chocolates.

To show I remember.

i really liked this. short, sweet, but somehow manages to be able to leave readers with questions. you have a good way with words.
