Comfort Bullet Of Love (It's For Your Own Good)

Comfort Bullet Of Love (It's For Your Own Good)

A Poem by J. R.
"

I seem to really like doing grim little poems like this, I wonder what that says about my personality.

"
Here they come
One by one
Rifles in hand
There they stand

Loading their weapons
Aiming at  the head
Fingers on the triggers
Here it comes

Guys, we're in a spot
There's been an awful fuss
Somebody snitched
And I think it was one of us.

Here come the comfort bullets
The comfort bullets of love
No use in fighting anymore

Heavy boots upon the stair
Sirens scream through the air
Knock on the door at midnight
Here comes the fright

They've come at last
It's time to say goodbye
Nowhere to run
We're under the watchful eye

Here come the comfort bullets
The comfort bullets of love
No use in fighting anymore

Bars and chains
Fevered brains
Dragged down the hallway
Everything ends today

Smith, I'm afraid
And I don't know what to do
Someone did wrong
And I believe that it was you

Here come the comfort bullets
The comfort bullets of love
No use in fighting any- BANG
