Breathe

Breathe

A Poem by nyi
"

Wrote this for the victims of human trafficking

"

Spinning around and around in the deep

Crawling up the walls which suppressing me

Before my clarity is stolen by being drugged

And my bondage to being abused again and again

Can my silent prayer break these apart?

The vivid portrait of my love life now

Is painted by the color of the night

Love is the word I don't dare to whisper

For my soberness wouldn't allow it anymore

My reflection on the mirror is no longer me

For my innocence has died away swiftly

Taken by the people with dirty hands and minds

I'm now suffocated by the gravity of cheap money

Can I just breathe the free air for a second?

Hope this simple write means something to you. Gravity of cheap money, by that what I intended was that money is cheap, I mean you can't buy morality with money. Also money is always short lived, proof of artificial life. Morality on the other hand was achieved through years and years of practice and disciplines. It is not short-lived. And people get drowned by their greed, by that I used the word 'gravity'. I really hope my words mean something.Thank you for reading. Cheers.

This is a terrible crime. Many places in our world is alive and well. Your words expressed the desire to know freedom when there is none. A strong ending to a excellent poem.
