Dream Boat

Dream Boat

A Poem by nyi

I sense your silk like touch when I lie down on the pillow

And though it is terrible shame that you are no longer here

But when I close my eyes I sense your presence

It is as real as my skin and your soft breath

Is like this cement wall surrounding my body

As I linger on reminiscing other time of life

When deep in slumber, you always come visit me

Then scent of lemon drips from your wondrous eyes

For we share in each other nearer than we are further

Your smile reaches through my skin, pulling out my secrets

If I fail despite my attempts, I know you'll be there to claim me

And social indulgence called marriage cannot mock our love

For you are a dream boat that has sailed across my ocean of solitude
