Onion

Onion

A Poem by nyi

I see through your eyes to dig a little deeper

Into the true nature of your soul and character

Crafting a sub-human bondage in the process

Vertigo arises when I look back to our past

And still glimpses of uncertainty hovering now

All I want is to see you in your true color

But you hide behind your mystery of charms

Watching you smiling at other people

Time flows past fast hypnotizing me

You are like onion, a catalyst for tears

But I still keep peeling off your numerous layers

Hoping perhaps one day I could really see the true you
