A Poem by nyi

Writing is always a journey into the unknown. ( From the movie 'Adaptation' )

The trauma from my past experience

As ancient as my conscience

And it has been riding on my potential

As far as I could reach somewhere

And I can't walk away from these memories quietly

For I am nothing more than a man after all

Then comes the birth of fear

To imprison myself that I am not worthy of love

Like I have been hypnotize by these memories

To live a life deprived of love

All these questions asking myself for years

End with the same simple answer 'why?'

These questions all travel beyond my comprehension

Until you slip into my lonely life

You close down these gaps from my past

Filling these empty spaces with your kindness and love

Simply spending the days with you

All these questions are washed away

Your feminine touch breaks me apart

From the bondage of these past terrible events

You may not be beautiful like what others say

But then again I know beauty cannot quench my loneliness

So the way you smile is cast upon my heart forever

If we can't be together when circumstances arise

At least we will still be living under the same sky

Though I still couldn't name what we are together

As the term relationship is not unique enough

Anyhow I want to thank you for giving me this freedom

As I am falling and falling and falling into you

Away from all these pain, fear and memories
