Just some jumbled stuff I wrote down on my facebook listening to MC rut and Awolnation.

Deny me, for I am want

Hate me, for I am love

Remembered, forgotten

Blame me for your hopes and dreams

Come home to me tonight

Show me all the things you wish you'd never seen 

Teach me how to become your most beloved enemy

Cascading shadows over what never was and shall never be

A solemn lover's cry, left in the wrong, left behind, let down

Trapped, a mind resembling a windowless box

Your direction lost

The key to a lock no one will ever know

Sleep soundly, dream until you can never let go

Open this chest

Heartless is what you'll find beneath this mechanical breast

Who have I become? 

An inhuman calculation, an imbalanced sum

Cogs and pistons

Flawless, cynical iron and steel

A man afraid to die

So I make myself unable to feel

Author's Note

I just thought the symbolism I put into these was a tad cool. These are from my mind rather than my heart, which is where most of my writing comes from, if that doesn't sound too lame. :]

I love this!!!! It's really, well I guess powerful!!!! I love some the words you used especially the first stanza "Deny me, for I am want. Hate me, for I am love." You had me hooked from those two lines!!!!! Great poem!!!!!
