Life Without Your Light

Life Without Your Light

A Poem by Gaige
"

Just a goodnight wish for someone I love.

"
The cadence of a silent kiss on missing lips.
Buried in lasting whispers composing a forgotten tryst.
Grasping for breath that isn't there.
If this heart is crushed by the path I've taken I doubt I'll ever care.
Always trying to reclaim something I never lost.
Selling my soul to have you no matter the cost.
These days last in thoughts forgotten long ago.
Moving on is a fate I hope I'll never know.

Great talent. Favorite lines were..."Always trying to reclaim something I never lost. Selling my soul to have you no matter the cost."

Spot on. Particularly enjoyed the lines 'Grasping for a breath that isn't there' & 'Always trying to reclaim something I never lost'. For me they really bring out the feeling of desperation.

This is a really fantastic poem. I don't have anything to say other than that. It's fabulous!!

Nicely done. I read it aloud and another thought it was beautiful. I can't say who, because he/she is shy. Thank you for sharing.
