Aprils Are For Forgetting

Aprils Are For Forgetting

A Poem by Gaige

Everyone whispering so jaded
Saying things will be okay
Play by your own absurd rules
I'll make life a game
Everything is fading
Remnants of a dream
I wish I couldn't remember at all
Take me from this hostile place
Cut and bleed it all away
Water in these lungs
Breath only drawn to take
Shallow promises made
Lies told to fix me
Wind sleeping soundly
I'm left with broken fingers
Holding onto bitter yesterdays

It definately speaks volumes of a person through hell and back again. Good work.
