Chapter 5: Silence

Chapter 5: Silence

A Chapter by ObsidianSea

So intricate.
Yet torn.
And the cycle slows.
Her orbit and spin wrecked,
the spirit and grace she exuded
finally find the grave
six thousand years in the making.
The ground trembles,
and the sky bellows.

But this is not the end for you,
this is not defeat.
In your misery you have found me,
and in your desolation i give you strength.
The earth is now a defunct machine,
and she nears her final twirl.
But i promise you a tenet of your purpose,
your absence will fill the world.

Therefore i resign upon you the promise
of scattered remnants.
She will carry you as a speck of dust
on the back of a giant.
And you will leave the pale blue dot
suspended in sunlight. '
The Ark.
