The Tempest

The Tempest

A Poem by ohsograceful

What is worse, war or hell?

Hell, of course.

Then let me ask you,

Who resides in hell?

Sinners, I suppose.

Exactly. Everyone in hell is guilty.

War is the suffering of the innocent.

Hell is empty, all the devils are here.

I wonder then, who among us prays for the devil? Who of us has the common decency, the humanity, to pray for the original sinner? I imagine the answer is very few.

I don't believe there is just one devil. Reminds me of the INXS song "Devil Inside". We are all born with one inside. I guess that is why we are all in Purgatory until we are judged. The judge....deep down inside ourselves we know what we are. We judge ourselves.

Your poem really inspires me. Thank you for sharing.
