Destiny

A poem I recently wrote about one chapter of my life closing up and another one beginning. Who would've thought three years down the line i would be the happiest I've ever been.

It’s crazy how paths of those destined to meet,

Cross in the times when they’re most in need.

No matter of searching will bring you to find,

The love of your life, if the time isn’t right...

 

I was down for the count; I was broken and scared,

Wishing to find the one person who cared.

I’d prayed and I’d hoped even wished upon stars,

For that one special person to fall into my arms...

 

I waited ....waited until one winter’s day,

Had someone been listening or was it just fate?

From that day forward she has been in my life,

As soulmate, fiancée and soon to be wife.

This is oozing with happy love. It is an amazing feeling when you find the one, everything else falls into place. Reminds me of when I first fell in love. Great write!!
