Ann ....Bill & Linda.. special bond.

She sat alone on her birthday

in a dark light living room

the television was off.

And Arthur her cat was

curled up on her lap

fast asleep.

Next, she heard the front door

and got up to answer it.

It was Bill & Linda from next door

who look out for her.

They came in with a Birthday Cake

With Happy Birthday Ann written on

it.

And a gift of a box of expensive chocolates and

a bottle of Harvey Bristol Cream.

Ann made tea for everyone

and Bill & Linda sang Happy Birthday to

Ann.

They all sat and had tea with cake.

A lovely chat and a good time.

This warms your heart.

And makes your soul sing.

Good friends and Great Neighbours.

As you see Anns husband passed away

a few years ago. All her kids grown up

and living abroad. And grandkids in far

of lands working.

Earlier on in the day. They all phoned

and she opened all the gifts they sent.

But she loved particularly when

Bill & Linda came.
