Two sons.

Two sons.

A Poem by Onlyme

The mother with two sons.
She was a doting mother
to one son.
And pushed the other away.

She ruined one with to much love
and attention.
And shunned the other with neglect
and hurt.

Jealously ruled in one boy's heart.
And the other one. Could not understand
why his mother was that way.

You have got to love your children equality
or upset and disharmony will rule forever.

Or at least until you die.
Unfair mother of two sons.

:( a sad sad loss to all of society when a child goes not only unloved but pushed down as well :(( reading brought the thoughts of Cain and Able to my mind ... i wonder how their upbringing was .. hmmmmmmmm i was fortunate to have been loved and encouraged to the best of me Ma and Da's abilities ... i told all my children that they are my favorite one ... and not to tell the sibs ;) but we all still have fun with that .. as i think of solutions for these children you speak of ..a lot of organizations pop into me noodle .. Big brother or sister, especially ... your poem inspires me to remember lost, lonely , hurt children in my prayers this morning ... so well done says i!

I agree totally that mothers should display no preference in the raising of their children. I too had two sons but one was sadly taken away from us. We are not given manuals but common sense should always prevail. Love the piece.

Children know when the love is not equal. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your wisdom.
