Crazy bullshit.... Due to Less Staff and the NHS Crumbling..

Crazy is as crazy does

another day as a cancer patient

via the National Health Services.

You having been having problems with

your diabetics for weeks. And

every time you phone up the diabetic

nurse at the hospital you had treatment

at. She says try this and try that.

You jump through the hoops she gives

you. And  no change at all.

No matter what she suggests to you.

Finally, she says. Okay, next time if bad readings

again. Err... It never changed was always bad?!!!

We will give you another medication to take. Then you

phone her. No new med added. Just try something else.

All the while. Your cholesterol is going up and up.

And with you having cancer. It will not get better it

will just prolong the agony of it not healing properly.

And this has gone on for weeks and weeks. Same old

boring talk and suggestions are given.

Do they really care?  Nope is the answer.

So today after her giving me the brush off yet again.

So tried another person

she does not get back to me

all day. And during that time. The first Diabetic nurse who
we had been dealing with us for weeks. Suddenly phones to say.

She has contacted his doctor via fax to ask for a new

medication to be added. I  Phone doctors. Then get

told medication on hold until his doctors come into

work another day.

Then at 7 pm at night the other Hosptial person I phoned. Calls to tell me

. They couldn't get hold of the other diabetic nurse who

was messing us around. So she was waiting for her phone call.

Lift is a bad joke. And if you have Cancer. Forget it.

Now everything is all balled up because that first diabetic nurse was

messing us around for weeks upon weeks.

Way he is going he will be dead thanks to the way he is getting treated.

I am really annoyed and upset to say the least.

Ps, this is not towards everyone in the NHS services just that one person.

Who we relied on to help us both. And she kept wasting time. And just

making him worse long run with his treatment not get fix quicker. And

his health is suffering and still is. And it's not fixed yet.

Human error causes lives.

I worked in a cancer dept in a large hospital up until a fortnight ago. It only takes one missed email, one person absent, no relief for sick leave, an unanswered phone call , an unreplied call to a phone message, a lazy person not writing down the number to call back correctly, a bad day for a staff member so they put off for another day or two, this is in general in every hospital not referring to where I worked explicity if you get my drift, but its just one human error to make another human suffer. we are all human but health should get it right first time I feel for you and hope you and yours get the help that you need NOW

Exactly Julie, that is why iam so angry, this has been going on for weeks. With this one person. And now. I am like you what?!!! Thanks for understand my woes. I feel for you Julie and the hospital you are talking about.

no I wasn't referring to one hospital or the one that I worked in its in any office in any administration part of a hospital in any part of this wide world. just a human error, a lack of empathy or caring, but health must get it right first or 2nd time at least don't you think!

good Dawn its everywhere not just one hospital eg yours its worldwide. human error is inevitable but its the timely manner in which they fix their mistakes that needs to be speedier.

I never thought of that Julie, It twice something has happened in this hosptial its the big Cancer hospital here in Uk. The hospital is great no problems. Its the staff. Doing their own thing at times. Seems to be the problem.
