Not just a trend for Christmas.

Please never get a cat or dog for Christmas

as that is not a very good idea.

Unless you are actually sure you are

going to keep him or her forever,

and love, care and respect them

for the rest of their life.

Please don't be “the one“, who just buys or

gets one from the animal shelter.

And later on sometime next years,

dumps the poor little thing outside all alone

to fend for itself.

Or just takes it right back to the shelter from

hence it just came.

All because you got bored with it, feed up looking

after it. Or because it peed on your floor.

These innocent little souls have feelings and needs

that have to be met. So regards of the season.

Just don't get an unwanted or unloved pet simply

because it's a trend!
