A cup & a chat

A nice cup of tea

or coffee perhaps.

Can help heal

a broken soul?

And fix

so many problems.

Over a good chat

and a nice biscuit or two.

With a dear close friend.

Who will listen and care

with an open ear and

open heart.

But more so,  will not judge

or laugh at your woes or

troubles.

But  aid and assist

you will give you a big cuddle

when needed as for reassurance

and love.

That is a real friend.

Well I must say it’s been a rather long time since I had one such chat. I love tea and biscuits thoughts. The reason for the non-happening is that good friends are running out faster than water in a punctured balloon. A lovely read Dawn.

That is sadly so true DIVYA, good friends are so hard to come by these days in real life. And keep them close. And I guess that is the moral of this poem. Ironically.

Indeed Dawn. I’m almost done looking for them. I’m learning to enjoy my tea by myself. That’s life.

I can relate to that DIVYA, it's so sad that in modern times it so hard find a true decent friend, in real life. So you become more self efficient at looking after yourself alone. When I was younger it was easier to make friends and find a loyal one amount them you could trust. How times change fast.
