OH, Christmas Tree
Oh, Christmas Tree
how beautiful you look tonight
twinkling and dazzling
with multi-coloured lights.

Decorated with baubles and tinsel
candy canes and gingerbread men.

With a massive bunch of
red and white lollipops
dawning your head.

You're the centrepiece of the living room.
The first port of call.
For anyone to see.

They see this usual bedecked Christmas tree
with different types of attire.
And smile and have a giggle.

As well as make them want a candy
or too.

Oh no! Don't take any from the tree, please?
naughty wink in your direction.

And here is a picture of a "Nuytsia floribunda" is a hemiparasitic plant found in Western Australia. The species is known locally as "the Christmas tree," displaying bright flowers during the Christmas season.

Great seasonal share my friend. Did you know; Germany is credited with starting the Christmas tree tradition (as we now know it) in the 16th century when devout Christians brought decorated trees into their homes. Some built Christmas pyramids of wood and decorated them with evergreens and candles if the wood was scarce. And, 34 to 36 million of them are sold each year ... bless ... :-)
