Oh, That Darn Cat.

Twinkling twinkle little star

how I admire you upon my

Christmas tree.

No angel for us this year.

A little change is in order.

So up you go.

Sparkling brightly like a gem

Proud and smart you sure 

do look good.

Decorated real fir tree

sitting in our living room

pride of place in front of

the massive big bay window.

Multicoloured lights flashing.

Tinsel, balls and ornaments

some momentos of Christmases past.

Others are new ones just added this

year. 

Looking elegant and refined.

A decent job well done.

By all.

Who lent a hand to help

and beautify.

The cat is in a trance

with all the fuss 

of this tree.

He is staring and 

wondering what is 

going on.

Oh no.

Watch out?

Dare not turn your back

or leave him alone with said tree.

To late ..... 

The tree is toppled over.

Oh, that darn cat.......

Haaaaa! There’s a cat for you! My brother’s cat Milo gets into absolutely everything. He gets tons of cat toys all the time, but prefers an empty cardboard box to them all. My brother made him a duplex cardboard box and he loves it. Love your sweet poem Dawn- makes me smile like the Cheshire Cat!
