Somethings change but not alway for the Good.

The wonders of the internet

you can buy anything

now online.

And even get it delivered

sometimes

even the same day.

So many local shops are

closing down.

Each and every day.

Putting

so many people

out of a steady job.

The high streets

and town centres.

Have far and few open now

to visit and see.

Let alone buy from.

It more like a

deserted ghost town.

Than a thriving

shopping area anymore.

I remember a kid.

The treat for the week

was to go to town.

And have a look around

the many shops.

Buy some treats and

shopping and have

something to eat.

And if anyone needs

a present or gift for

a special occasion.

You got it in town

for them too.

Laden down with

shopping and bags.

As you went home on

the local bus.

A happy day was

had by all.

And don't forget

you went into a cafe

and had a burger and

a coke.  Before you

got on the bus to

head on home.

So true dawn, as an owner of a small business i witness this happening so poignantly as many of my fellow shop owners have had to close there doors leaving the main streets look like ghost towns! I couldn't agree with you more
