Arrogant

A Poem by Onlyme

I just never understand

anyone who is so mean or selfish

or never ever have a first or even

a second thought

regards to anyone else.

It always blows my mind.

Like recently a

lady driving in her

4x4 coming out of the gates

in a cemetery and not

even bothered

that she is blocking

the gates.

She just sits and waits.

Nothing blocking her.

She ended up holding up

the traffic entering and existing

the cemetery and causing long

tailbacks both ways.

Never once did she look around,

to see what she was doing.

Or even care.

She just took so long. To go.

Just for the sake of being mean

selfish and nasty no other reason

could be found.

The mind boggles.

Or someone who parks on the yellow lines

outside a school And the kids

are trying to cross the road and can't

as they are making it even harder

for the lollypop man

to see the traffic clearly to make sure it's safe for them

children to cross with him.

Arrogant and a mean attitude.

Or the people who ride

in those mobility scooters on

a busy main road.

With passing speeding cars going

along the road past them in

single lane and

they are crawling up the road

unaware at the nightmare

they are causing.

Slowly and steady at that.

And nearly causing a accident.

and frustrated drivers at

their nuttiness.

In my estimation, people today (and everywhere) are encapsulated in their own bubbles. Just look at the many drivers with half their brain stuck in their mobiles! Oh, well . . . another growing old rant! (by the way I have a cell phone, old flip type . . . so I'm not too reactionary!!)

i know i get frustrated with other drivers, mostly when they are not paying attention to what they are doing...not using blinkers...not starting up when a light turns green...texting...whatever...
many reasons...selfish is as selfish does.
