Breaking Free

Breaking Free

A Poem by Onlyme

The safety net of good parents
don't always work
as not all parents are
good ones.
Some are monsters
and live in our heads and hearts
and minds most or all our lives.

Until we let them go
and learn to be ourselves
for who we are meant to be
free and healthy and happy.

Not letting the monster
control us
still within
and out.

Break free
for you today.

Dawn -
I'm fearful that you know to well of what you write. I hope and pray that your
monsters are long gone and forgotten. Unfortunately there are many, and I was
one of them also, that had monsters that we had to rid ourselves of. BUT oh the
joy when you finally come to the realization that they are at long last gone. Yes!
mine are a long time gone.

Take care - Dave

I think everyone has a monster trapped inside of them.
We all should break free, take the time and enjoy life.
Awesome write Dawn.
