A crimeless victim of modern times.

Yet again, on the news.

Some poor soul has been

accused of raping someone.

Then a few weeks later

the accuser has

changed their mind.

But it's far too late

for the person they

have originally blamed

that they said crime

in the so-called first place.

Their lives are ruined

and destroyed

as well as

some have

even committed

suicide

not long afterwards

to this allegation

started.

We really do live in

a messed up sick world.

Where you can get sex

easily from ladies of the

night or sex toys and so on.

If they are so desperate for

intercourse.

I really don't understand

why such vile twisted folk

exist on this planet.

To cause such trauma towards

others. 

Don't get me wrong.

If, someone has actually

done this horrendous act

towards anyone.

They should be prosecuted

and then sent to jail

and never let out ever again.

i have had these same thoughts Dawn....i despise abusers/ rapists more than murderers...but once allegations are advanced...whether true or not...that person's reputation is totally destroyed...and if that person is innocent...then the crime is just as bad on the part of the accuser .....

Woah this is news about the world that I didn't know. They actually falsely accuse people of rape when they didn't do it gahh. Poor innocent folks reputation ruined for nothing ahh sad! You wrote a great thoughtful poem that is not usually written and I admire its feelings . Thumbs up.

Thank you Sawdust, love the username. It was actually something on the news that made me write this. As a young fellow got accused by a girl, then she later took it back, saying she was bullied into say things about this guy. Then the young lad killed himself and then his mother killed herself soon after. And now his sister and grandmother are just surviving and no more. Due to someones twisted vindictive ways. It has ruined a whole family.
