Stony Hearts

It’s been said that men have stony hearts

 

And gravel fills their souls

 

They rip apart a woman’s heart

And feel they have the right

 

 

But I know a man with a marshmallow heart

Sweet and tender is his soul

He holds my heart with hands so warm

And keeps me safe throughout life’s storms

I paused at the "marshmallow heart" part. I'm not really sure how to take that description, maybe because I've never really thought of describing a man's heart into something that fragile. Nonetheless, this is still a very interesting poem. It's a little short but it's honesty makes it a lot better.
