The Darker Side of You

The Darker Side of You

A Chapter by Dean

You know, darling girl, that when I look at you I see myself.

You are the unfortunate proof of my misfortune,

A wrath I threw upon your silky skin…

Regrettable disaster, how have I ruined you, my dear?

I look into your eyes through that cursed mirror,

And I see the faint lines of where I used to stand

Before I stood right in your shoes to look,

To see right through that stupid mirror in my own two eyes.

I am the darkened voice inside your head,

Cursing and yelling and wishing for pain…

Somehow I enjoy it, seeing you shed that precious blood,

I am not beneficial to you, my darling girl.

Do not mistake this silly note for some compassion,

You will find none in this wretched soul of mine…

And all they hope to see in this darkness is kindness…

Oh, will they ever learn to not be so naïve?

Oh, darling girl what have you done to deserve me?

To see and taste and touch this stupid misfortune that is me,

I meant to tell you, so you stop the blame on yourself,

The darker part of you is me. I call for evil.
