Waiting For Their Call

Waiting For Their Call

A Poem by Carnation
"

A poem about wars in history and how there'll always be another one, because it's simply im human nature to dominate.

"
A distant chiming of the bells
Echoes through the town
Another one that's lost and gone
The mourning make no sound

A faraway boom from a canon
Destroys a battle ground
Thousands of soldiers instantly dead
Into mount the bodies compound

An impending explosion of a bomb
Threatens the lives of many
But the enemy gives so little care
As long as they get paid the penny

That same town now nothing but rubble
Survivors, there are few
But the battle keeps on being fought
Until the white flag has flew

After some years the war is finally done
'The winner takes it all'
Not all sides can accept this though
And so they wait for their call
