Stranger In The Crowd

Stranger In The Crowd

A Poem by Georgia

Hello there stranger with the heavenly eyes
You've come down to Earth as an angel in disguise
You made my heart flutter when you first passed me by
Then it jumped out of my chest the wondrous second time
Suddenly you have me dreaming a hundred thousand dreams
My mind is wandering to any magical place it deems
I cannot control my brain as it creates these fantasies
As your eyes were shining brighter than the twinkling moonbeams
On a late-winter's night, was when your presence filled the halls
The beating of my heart - the only sound echoed from the walls
Or the faintly-strong chatter and the whispering and the calls
I took a photo in my mind of you, dazzling, fair and tall
I have so many memories from the brief few seconds that we shared
If I could have frozen time, I would have stopped it there and stared
Of me and our moment together, you may have not even cared
To me this was an occasion for which I was very little prepared
You struck me with those eyes and how they danced around with ease
Butterflies fluttered around my stomach like a leaf on an autumn breeze
I'm asking to see you there again, if the angels hear my pleas
I'll replay the moment for as long as the waves keep travelling on the seas
